How I Finally Got My 6-Month Old Baby To Sleep Through The Night (Without Sleep Training)

By Jennifer Rae | January 7th, 2023

My name is Jennifer Rae, and I feel almost embarrassed to write this review...

I have a little girl who is 4 months old, and she has been struggling to sleep ever since she was born.

In the past month, her sleep has gotten worse.

She would wake up every 1-2 hours crying, and I just couldn't figure out why.

I had not slept for more than 3 hours in a row for almost a month, and felt like I was about to lose my mind.

I tried swaddling, white noise, feeding her, changing her, burping her, bedtime routine, nap time routine.

Nothing worked.

Every time she woke up, I would have to get out of bed too, and it would take me 35+ minutes of rocking and shushing to calm her down and get her to fall back to sleep.

This would happen 4-6 times every night, which meant I was barely getting any sleep myself…

We took her to our pediatrician, who said our little girl was perfectly healthy and should be sleeping much better by now.

He recommended we try sleep training instead.

Unfortunately, that didn’t work for us either…

It ended up with hours of crying to the point where my little girl was pretty much sobbing hysterically and gasping for air.

I felt so guilty letting her cry herself out and not being able to pick her up to cuddle and comfort her.

I also noticed after we started sleep training, she became much more clingy during bedtime.

She knows when I’m about to leave and tries everything she can to make me stay. She’ll try to grab on to my clothes and start to cry as I pull away to leave the room. It was heartbreaking…

I felt like a complete failure…. It seemed like every other parent we knew had figured out how to get their baby to sleep through the night except for us.

We even spent hundreds of dollars to hire sleep consultants to make sure we were sleep training correctly. But we ended up with mixed advice.

We were told that our daughter wasn’t sleeping well because she was overtired, or not tired enough, or that her wake windows were too long, or they were too short. It was just confusing.

In the end, we gave up on sleep training too.

I was tired... and the lack of sleep was really starting to affect my mental and physical health.

I started getting anxious around bedtime, holding my breath as we put our little girl in her crib, hoping that this time she would sleep for more than a couple of hours so I could get some rest too. That never happened.

During the day, I was so exhausted and sleep deprived I could barely function. And our home was always a mess because I never got the time to clean with a crying baby.

My husband and I were slowly going insane from the lack of sleep and starting to snap at each other more.

I really did not know what else I could do...

Putting The “Bedtime” Lotion To The Test

The lotion took a little longer than expected to arrive (I got mine in 10 days).

I was told they were made by hand and that the company was having trouble making enough lotions to keep up with demand, which explained the delay.

In any case, I was hopeful the lotion would work for my baby.

Day 1:
The first night was disappointing. The lotion smelled amazing, but it did nothing. My daughter did not sleep any better. She was still restless and woke up 5-6 times last night.

Day 3:
The lotion still isn’t working… I’ve seen other moms on Facebook saying it took 1-2 weeks to work for them, so I’m going to continue using the lotion for now. But I’m starting to think this was a complete waste of money.

Day 5:
Baby slept better tonight! She woke up 2-3 times, which is a huge improvement from before. I’m not sure if this is a coincidence. I’m going to continue using the lotion and report back!

Day 7:
Baby slept for a full 9 hours and only woke up ONCE!! I’m hoping this continues 🤞

Day 14:
I can’t believe this actually worked! It’s been 2 weeks since we started using the lotion and for the past 7 days, my daughter has slept for 9-10 hour stretches every night! She still wakes up once or twice at night occasionally but puts herself back to sleep easily without me. I’m amazed!!

I usually don’t write reviews like this but I wanted to share my experience and my story, and maybe help other new moms out there.

Since using the lotion, my little girl’s sleep (and ours) has been so much better, and she wakes up happy and well rested.

I no longer stress during bedtime knowing that when it’s time for my daughter to go to bed, I can lay her down after her bedtime routine and she’ll fall asleep AND stay asleep with no trouble.

This has been the best money spent on my baby, and I only wish I would’ve found it sooner and saved myself all those sleepless nights!

If you also have a baby or toddler who’s having trouble sleeping, I highly recommend giving the lotion a try!

Where Can You Buy The Junior’s Bedtime Lotion?

The Junior’s Bedtime Lotion cannot be found in retailers like Amazon, Walmart or Target.

The lotion is made in small batches by a mom-owned business based out of Indiana, and shipped directly to your doorstep.

This helps them keep prices low, and gets you a jar of lotion that is made fresh (instead of lotion that has been sitting in a warehouse or shelf for months).

You can order the lotion directly from them by clicking on the button below:

Update: Since writing this review, the Junior’s Bedtime Lotion has gone viral on social media and they've already sold out twice!

Due to the difficulty in sourcing raw ingredients for the lotion, once a batch is sold out, it can take up to 4-6 weeks for a new batch to be made.

I’ve already stocked up on a few jars. They have helped my baby sleep so much better and I don’t want to be without a jar!

I highly recommend clicking the button above and securing your order as soon as possible if there are still any jars in stock.

“My baby would not sleep for more than 3 hours at a time, and I was losing my mind…”

The “Bedtime” Lotion That Finally Got My Baby To Sleep!

Then one day, I saw this mom on Facebook talking about a "bedtime" lotion you could apply onto babies and kids to help them sleep.

She had a baby boy who was also having a tough time sleeping, and said the lotion was the only thing that had helped him sleep through the night.

It seemed too good to be true, and I was skeptical.

But as I read through the comments, it seemed like many other moms had found success with this "bedtime" lotion too.

At this point, I was desperate for sleep, and so I decided to order a jar to try.

My Final Thoughts!

Backed By An Iron-Clad 100-Day Better Sleep Guarantee!

One final thing! I don’t want to guarantee the lotion will work for everyone, as every baby is different.

But the company does have a 100 Day Better Sleep Guarantee, so you can try the Junior’s Bedtime Lotion risk-free for 100 days!

If after 100 days, you feel that the Junior’s Bedtime Lotion has not helped with your baby or toddler’s sleep, or if you aren’t thrilled with your purchase for any reason at all, just send them an email (contact@8sheep.com) with your order number and they will get you a full refund within the day. No questions asked, no returns, no forms to fill.

In other words, you only pay if the Junior’s Bedtime Lotion helps your baby sleep better!
